Our Passion

Our passion is to see Christ's people united, restored and reconciled with God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit; that we would know our Savior in such a personal way that it releases us from earthly entanglements.  Through the work of facing our wounds and challenges, gaining knowledge and understanding, receiving healing and bestowing forgiveness, we move toward our spiritual maturity.  With this maturity, we are better equipped to act in concert with our Father and through His love and redemption, take-up our God given authority by representing Christ Jesus here on earth.

Can You Imagine

Indeed, can you imagine the utter elation of being healed… redeemed…restored – regardless of your past?  The Bible is rich with stories of individuals (both sinners and saints) who experienced this elation.  And the good news is, the Bible is the Living Word; meaning the same recovery is not only available for you today, but desired for you by the Father, Son and Holy Sprit.  It is through His divine living word that your ultimate path to freedom may be found.

1.  Healing for your broken heart - This is for you:

Isaiah 61:1-3

"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.  He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion - to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.  They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor."

2.  Repentance - Being able to come clean without judgment; literally unloading the baggage.  This also leads to forgiveness of oneself and of others.  Repentance and forgiveness are truly the "get-out-of-jail" cards.  Just Imagine!

Hosea 14:1-9

"Return, O Israel, to the LORD your God.  Your sins have been your downfall!  Take words with you and return to the LORD.  Say to him:  "Forgive all our sins and receive us graciously, that we may offer the fruit of our lips.  Assyria cannot save us; we will not mount war-horses.  We will never again say 'Our gods' to what our own hands have made, for in you the fatherless find compassion."  "I will heal their waywardness and love them freely, for my anger has turned away from them.  I will be like the dew to Israel; he will blossom like a lily.  Like a cedar of Lebanon he will send down his roots; his young shoots will grow.  His splendor will be like an olive tree, his fragrance like a cedar of Lebanon.  People will dwell again in his shade; they will flourish like the grain, they will blossom like a vine - Israel's fame will be like the wine from Lebanon.  O Ephraim, what more have I to do with idols?  I will answer him and care for him.  I am like a flourishing juniper; your fruitfulness comes from me."  Who is wise?  Let them realize these things.  Who is discerning?  Let them understand.  The ways of the LORD are right; the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them."

3.  Being Reconciled to God and Man:  Imagine the peace of being reconciled to God and going before him "as is" without shame or guilt.  No longer seeking to be perfect or worthy of him, but knowing the love he already has for you in your current state.  He aches to be in relationship with you.  He misses your conversation when you avoid him out of shame or guilt.  If you truly understood how important and necessary you are to him, you would never be the same again.

II Corinthians 5:20

"We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.  We implore you on Christ's behalf:  Be reconciled to God."  It now becomes more about Him and His will and less about our pain.  As we receive healing it makes more room for the Lord which makes it possible for us to begin to work and speak on his behalf."

To Reconcile with Each Other:  This life here on earth is simply not about us!  That is not a popular statement in a world of "selfies", but we were were sent here for His purposes.  It is God's heart that his bride reconciles, coming together as one body.  For those who believe in Him, it's time to put aside offenses, heal from our wounds and unite for His purposes.

4.  Restoration - Yes, restoration is for you too!  This scripture is to encourage you that what God did for them, he can do for you:

Joel 2:23-46

"Be glad, O people of Zion, rejoice in the LORD your God, for he has given you the autumn rains in righteousness.  He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before.  The threshing floors will be filled with grain; the vats will overflow with new wine and oil.  I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten - the great locust and the young locusts, the other locusts and the locust swarm - my great army that I sent among you.  You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the LORD your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed.  Then you will know that I am in Israel, that I am the LORD your God, and that there is no other; never again will my people be shamed."

5.  Maturity:  It's time to graduate and live life fulfilling His word for His purposes - and to feel the freedom that comes with the dying to self and living through Him.

James 1:2-5

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.  Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.  If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you."

6.  Authority:  This comes with maturity.  We can now be trusted with the keys of authority.

Isaiah 22:22

"I will place on his shoulder the key to the house of David; what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open."

7.  Completion:  Our work is not a one-time effort; it is a daily pursuit.  But the Lord is faithful to carry us each and every day as we journey through our lives.

Phil 1:4-6

"In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

8.  New Beginning - New Identity Through Christ... a fresh start to a new life.  New thinking (being healed from the old thinking) leads to new behaviors and being prepared for the anointing God has for you.  New wine for new wineskins...

Mark 2:22... "And no one pours new wine into old wineskins.  Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined.  No, they pour new wine into new wineskins."

Your Outcome

“It’s not what you do, it's why you do it”.

In the course of the counseling process, we help people discover the "why".  We will examine your unwanted behaviors, patterns and pain in your life.  When we identify the "why" you receive revelation, and with that understanding the healing process takes root.  It gives you courage to complete the journey while facing your pain.  Having understanding releases healing, restoration and long-term freedom.
